It's World Nutella Day on February 5th

I am definitely not submitting any entry for this event but I am surprised to know of the existence of such a day. Typing randomly, I discovered that there is also a World Milk day on June 1st, World Bread day on October 16th, and on every second Friday in October, that's World Egg day which happens to fall on October 14th this year. Amazing! I didn't continue my search but I'm certain there should be more.

Into the blues

Switching from green to blue, my muffins have just been done. They were
scrumptious! The crumble toppings made the muffins ultra delectable and when eaten freshly baked and still warm, they are so yummy. The muffins are soft and moist inside contrasting with the crumbly top, I think this will be my favourite recipe for blueberry muffins.

I bought the blueberries intending to make Valarie's Muffin but changed my mind at the eleventh hour. Instead, I make Lemon Crumble Muffin and added the blueberries. Nicholas commented that they taste like cheesecake and he likes them.

Kopi time

Adapted from Valarie's recipe and added in two tablespoon of instant coffee powder and increasing the total sugar weight to 200 gram. However, I shall reduce to one tablespoon. Macadamia nuts with coffee is heavenly!

Banana - Rasa

Using buttermilk to make muffins is indeed very moist. This is from one of Valarie's recipe on muffins. The other two are Blueberry and Cheese and chocolate chips muffins. I recalled during her lesson, I jokingly told her that I'll send her the photographs I took but because of the lighting, I didn't. I wonder if I should send her this instead??? This banana muffin is different from the usual because slices of banana were added instead of mashed.

food of the gods

I have never liked chocolate since I was young. Somehow, I dislike the bitterness which to people around me is divine. It was no wonder that chocolate was known as the food of the gods to the ancient Mayans. Despite not being a fan of it, I would still like to bake chocolatey sweets for the children. After all, it makes me feel good to see them enjoying the muffins.

Another simple bake

Why did I say that this is a simple bake? That's because this is a premix which I had purchased from a baking ingredients shop in JB.

Simple baking

After coming back from the LA & LV trip, I just couldn't settle back due to the jet lag and weather. I was torpid! Though attended a few baking lessons and baked few cakes, the motivation to post the pictures were absent. Well, till now, I'm back to normal and posting my first backdated picture. This muffin is simple to make and the kids love them.
