I thought I wouldn't like Financiers. Hence I didn't even think about making it even Chef Keiko's Okashi has the recipe. I was wrong, it is a delectable teacake. Chef Aki made them in their traditional rectangular mold which resembles a bar of gold. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to capture any shots.
I think they looked pretty great in these shapes too. As long as they taste great, why bother. But why am I itching to get the right mold? I need to have some self-restraint.
